ESG Steering Group

On November 11, 2022, the Board of Directors approved the revision of the "Sustainability Development Practice Codes," leading to the formal establishment of the ESG Steering Group in December 2022. The group is chaired by the General Manager, with the GM Office serving as the secretariat to coordinate SynPower's overall sustainability strategies.

Workgroup Missions & Responsibilities

Corporate Governance

Formulate governance policies to enhance overall management quality.
Review Board operations, performance, and internal control effectiveness.
Promote ethics and establish anti-corruption/anti-fraud standards.
Ensure timely and transparent information disclosure.

Environmental Sustainability

Plan carbon reduction, water resource, and waste management strategies.
Conduct periodic environmental performance audits and assessments.
Promote green procurement and product life-cycle management.
Execute environmental training to raise employee awareness.

Customer Care

Establish customer-centric service processes to boost satisfaction.
Optimize customer feedback and grievance handling mechanisms.
Enhance product transparency and responsible marketing behavior.

Employee Welfare

Advocate for rights, equal employment, and diversity policies.
Design career development, training, and performance systems.
Promote health management, safety, and mental well-being.
Engage in internal communication to address employee feedback.

Social Philanthropy

Develop philanthropy strategies and corporate volunteer programs.
Strengthen partnerships with NGOs and public sectors.
Evaluate social contribution effectiveness and disclose results.

Information Security

Maintain ISMS to ensure confidentiality and data integrity.
Execute security risk assessments and incident response drills.
Conduct security awareness training for all employees.
Review and optimize security policies and defense measures.

Operational Mechanism

Meeting Frequency Meetings are held monthly in principle, or as needed for specific initiatives.
Board Reporting Reports annual achievements and future sustainability plans to the Board at least once a year.
Key Duties
1. Establish corporate sustainability policies, systems, and management guidelines.
2. Review performance and progress in governance, environmental, and social sectors.
3. Monitor stakeholder concerns and supervise departmental responses.
